THE PROJECT

DESCRIPTION

The HomeTables project aims to address the new daily life and relaunch the regional economy by focusing on the agri-food sector. It aims to encourage the remote vegetable garden service and facilitate the purchase and ordering of local food products, grown with care and passion by farmers or private individuals who adopt land.

OBJECTIVES

HomeTables is an innovative application that allows you to rent, manage and remotely monitor the cultivation of a vegetable garden, also offering the possibility to order and purchase the best locally grown food products. Farms can insert their gardens and land within the application, allowing users to monitor the parameters of the shared land and purchase products directly from the company or individual adopting the land.

TECHNOLOGY AND METHODOLOGY

The application offers two management modes: the producer / farmer takes care of the vegetable garden, while the private has the possibility of sowing and taking care of the rented vegetable garden. A shared board allows growers to share vegetables available for sale. Farmers can create different types of product boxes, such as DetoX, Energy and Mix, containing foods with specific characteristics.

1. Detox Box
Detox foods contain a high purifying and detoxifying power, as they are rich in beneficial substances.

2.Energy Cassette
Energy foods contain many mineral salts that are essential for improving nutrition and lifestyle.

3. Mix cassette
The MIX cassette contains a mix of products/foods present inside the DetoX and Energy cassette.

Each vegetable garden will be monitored by an Agrumino Lemon, an open source device that allows you to record and keep under control some very important environmental parameters for the cultivation of vegetables such as: the temperature , humidity and brightness.

MISSION AND IMPACT

HomeTables aims to foster a greater connection between producers and consumers by promoting the production and consumption of local and sustainable food products. The use of Agrumino Lemon sensors allows accurate monitoring of the environmental parameters crucial for the cultivation of vegetables, helping to guarantee the quality and freshness of the products offered. Furthermore, the project promotes the sharing of knowledge and resources within the agricultural community, encouraging the development of more efficient and sustainable agricultural practices.
