THE PROJECT

DESCRIPTION

Wisely (WIreless Sensor nEtworks for soiL analysiS) aims to develop a new ICT device and platform for ground monitoring. This project focuses on two fundamental pillars: Configurability and Standardization. Through a synergy between technology and agriculture, Wisely aims to revolutionize the way land is monitored and managed.

OBJECTIVES

Device Configurability is crucial to enable the collection of essential data, such as water consumption, temperature, and soil moisture, through the use of local sensors. Questi dati verranno poi integrati con informazioni ambientali, come le previsioni meteo, per ottenere una visione completa delle condizioni del terreno. On the other hand, Standardization through Open API will ensure uniform communication and integration with other systems, enabling growth and development even outside the context of Wisely.

TECHNOLOGIES AND METHODOLOGIES

Wisely’s Hardware/Software framework represents the central innovation of the project. Through integrated monitoring of water needs, the development of an IT-Embedded infrastructure and the creation of low-cost measurement devices and radio communication, Wisely aims to provide a complete and versatile system for land monitoring. The wireless sensor, in particular, is designed to provide essential information for the control and management of vegetable gardens, precisely measuring temperature and humidity.
